The following routines are managed in the State of Kansas once executed in pre-1978 housing and child-occupied facilities:
- Lead Abatement
- Lead Inspections
- Risk Assessments
- Lead Abatement Project Design
- Renovation Activities
A child-occupied service is considered as a building or portion of a building, constructed before 1978, visited by a child six years or younger at least two days within any seven consecutive days, if the merged weekly trips last at least six hours. Child-occupied amenities include but are not limited to day-care centers, preschools, and kindergarten classrooms.
Any Individual that works in any of these facilities are to be accredited through the Healthy Homes Program. Any firm, organization or government body that presents itself as being able to execute any of these activities must be licensed as a Lead Activity Firm or Lead Renovation Firm.
