This refresher training course is the EPA RRP (Renovation, Repair, and Painting), which is a half-day program which offers fundamental lead-based paint information to contractors who do renovations, repairs, and painting tasks in homes constructed before 1978 or child-occupied facilities, as required by EPA and the State of Connecticut.

Lead characteristics, health effects on adults and children, uses, negative lead assessments, lead-safe work practices to minimize lead containing dust during work activities, post-cleaning verification, clean up procedures, training of non-certified workers, personal protection equipment, and documentation.
EPA required, by April 22, 2010, for everyone contractors who operate in pre-1978 house and child occupied facilities, including: maintenance workers in multi-family housing, renovation contractors, building supervisors & landlords, painters, homeowners who are planning to remodel, and other specialty trades (heating & cooling, plumbers, electricians).
The ½ day (4 hour) EPA RRP certified renovator refresher training class for current certified Lead Supervisors or Formerly certified renovators every one of who will turn out to be designated as “EPA Certified Lead Renovators”
